What our words mean

Recruitment advertising is full of words like verified and screened that turn out to mean very little. Here is exactly what ours mean, so you can hold us to them.

Verified

We use the word verified for one thing only: a credential we have confirmed against a public register. In practice that means AHPRA registration, because it is the only public register available to us.

For everything else we say document held, which means the worker gave us the certificate or the number, we have stored it, and we track its expiry date. It does not mean we have confirmed it with the issuing authority, because for most credentials we cannot.

Available

Available means the worker told us so themselves within the last 28 days. We ask again every 14 days. Anyone who stops answering drops out of the pool rather than sitting in it looking available, which is the usual failure of every candidate database you have been sent before.

Each worker shows the date they last confirmed it, so you can judge for yourself.

Expiring

A document inside 60 days of its expiry date. We tell you rather than hiding the worker, because whether that matters is your call.

What we never say

We do not say a worker is suitable, safe, reliable, a good fit, or give them a score, a rating or a rank. We have not met them, and in this sector a confident guess dressed up as an assessment is worse than saying nothing.

What we give you is dated facts and the evidence behind them. The hiring decision, the interview, the reference checks and the screening verification remain yours, as the employer, and so does the duty of care that comes with them.

Our own status

We are not currently licensed as an employment agent under the Employment Agents Act 1976 (WA), so we charge no fees to anyone. Workers will never be charged at any point, licensed or not.
