Privacy policy

We collect what we need to introduce you to an employer and nothing beyond it: how to reach you, where you can work, what you hold, and when it expires. The documents you upload include police certificates and worker screening clearances, which are sensitive information, so this page sets out exactly what happens to them.

Last updated 2026-10-26. This policy describes the system as it is actually built. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and the operating entity is still being established, so it does not yet name a company or an ABN. Both will appear here when they exist. We would rather say that than imply a corporate structure that is not there.

What we collect

From you, when you register:

And for each credential you add:

Sensitive information

A national police certificate, an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working With Children Check all relate to criminal history. Under the Privacy Act 1988 that is sensitive information, and it is held to a higher standard than an email address.

We collect it only because you chose to give it to us, only to record what it says and when it expires, and only to pass those dated facts to an employer you want to be introduced to. We do not use it for anything else. We never form or record an opinion about you from it: what an employer receives is the document and the dates, never an assessment.

Who sees it

Employers see an anonymised view of the pool first: your area, your roles, your availability and your credential status, without your name or contact details. Those only pass to an employer when you are introduced, and an introduction happens because you agreed to it.

Who processes it for us

These are the only third parties your information reaches, and what each one gets.

WhoWhat they getWhere
Cloudflare Hosting, the database and the document storage. Everything above. Database in the Oceania region
xAI (Grok) Only the free text you wrote and the roles you ticked. not your name, email, phone or any document United States
Resend Your email address, to send you mail. United States
Twilio Your phone number, to send you a text. United States

The xAI row is the one worth reading twice. Registrations are read by a model to pull out facts, and we deliberately send it the least we can: the paragraph you wrote and the roles you ticked. It never receives your name, your contact details or any uploaded document. If you would rather it read nothing, leave the free-text box empty.

How long we keep it

We ask every 14 days whether you are still looking, and you drop out of the pool after 28 days without an answer. Dropping out of the pool is not deletion: your record stays until you ask us to remove it, so that coming back does not mean starting again.

Ask us to delete it and we delete it, including the uploaded documents, and we will tell you when it is done.

Getting at it, correcting it, or taking it back

Email hello@readyandcleared.com and ask. You can ask for a copy of everything we hold, ask us to correct something wrong, ask us to stop contacting you, or ask us to delete the lot. You do not have to give a reason, and asking costs nothing.

If we get it wrong

Tell us first, at hello@readyandcleared.com. If we have not sorted it out in a reasonable time, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
